ABOUT OLYMPIAD

The multidisciplinary international Olympiad for Master's degree applicants "My Career" is a unique intellectual competition that gives the winners with deep knowledge and a broad scientific outlook an opportunity, the Olympiad is not only to reveal their research and creative abilities in the professional field, but also to get a master's degree in one of the leading universities in Russia within the quota provided by the Government of the Russian Federation, absolutely free of charge, at the expense of the federal budget.

The Olympiad is organized by the Moscow State University of Technology "STANKIN".

RULES OF THE OLYMPIAD

PARTICIPANTS OF THE OLYMPIAD CAN BECOME
  • Foreign citizens
  • Stateless persons
  • Russian compatriots living abroad
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OLYMPIAD ARE ALLOWED
  • Persons who have a document of higher education not lower than the bachelor's level
  • Persons who have provided a document confirming the completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in the year of participation in the Olympiad
  • It is a prerequisite for all participants to provide consent to the processing of personal data
WHAT DOES PARTICIPATION IN THE OLYMPIAD GIVE
  • The winners of the Olympiad will have the opportunity to enroll in the master's program of the Moscow State University of Technology “STANKIN” or in one of the Russian universities in the chosen direction and get an education at the expense of the budget of the Russian Federation within the quota provided by the Government of the Russian Federation
  • All participants of the Olympiad receive a personal Certificate of Participation, which makes it possible in many Russian universities to receive additional points for individual achievements when entering the master's program on a competitive basis

  • The first stage of the Olympiad is held in the form of a portfolio competition, which includes a motivation letter as a mandatory element

FAQ

What is a profile?

Profile - a field of knowledge that combines several areas of training in which a participant in the Olympiad can specialize: "Engineering and Technological", "Information Technology", "Economics and Management".

What should I do if I win the Olympics?
The winners of the Olympiad get the opportunity to enter the master's program at MSUT "STANKIN" or one of the Russian universities in the chosen direction, which is included in the profile in which you won and receive education at the expense of the budget of the Russian Federation within the quota provided by the Government of the Russian Federation. You need to send to the organizing committee the documents required for registration of foreign applicants in the information system of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
What language will I be studying in?
If you need to improve your level of Russian language proficiency - at the preparatory faculty of the university with a guaranteed place of study in the Russian-language educational program.
Do I need to pay tuition fees?
No, training is paid from the federal budget of the Russian Federation. You will need to pay for travel, accommodation in a hostel, medical insurance and personal expenses.
Will I be accepted into the program I want?
You will be enrolled in the direction of study that you have chosen in the application form. Within this direction, you will be able to choose an educational program from among those for which the university admits foreign citizens.
Is it possible to change or add profiles when the Olympiad has already started?
No, you must immediately select a profile when registering to participate in the Olympiad.
What documents are required to participate in the first stage?
Mandatory documents are a document on education or an academic certificate and a motivation letter. Without providing these documents, you will not be able to submit your portfolio for review and take part in the second stage. You can complete the portfolio design ahead of schedule and report it through the feedback form. Try to add as many documents as possible confirming achievements in the Profile - this can increase your personal maximum score. PAY ATTENTION: in order to take part in the Olympiad, after registration, you must log into your account, fill out a portfolio, upload documents and send a portfolio for verification. The main document of education is a bachelor's/specialist's diploma. If you haven't completed your degree yet, or don't have it in hand for any reasons, you can upload an academic transcript, a scan of your grade book, or other documents confirming your level of education. In this case, the diploma will have to be provided later, when enrolling in the university.
What to write in a motivation letter?
A motivation letter is drawn up in free form. The clearer and more logical you state why you decided to take part in the Olympics, the better. How exactly to do this is up to you.
Can I take part in the Olympiad in several profiles?
Can you take part in only one profile that you are most interested in. and which one you choose for further education.
Is it necessary to provide notarized copies of documents?
When filling out a portfolio (at the first stage), it is enough to upload scans of documents in good quality. If the document on education/academic certificate is made in any foreign language other than Russian or English, you must upload a certified translation. Translations of documents confirming personal achievements (certificates, etc.) are not required.
After the end of the Olympiad, if you are a winner or prize-winner, you will definitely need translations of documents into Russian, certified by the Russian embassy / consulate or any public notary.
What should I do if I can't submit my portfolio for review?
Perhaps you have not filled in all the required fields - there is no education document or a motivation letter. If this is not the problem, please contact us by e-mail mycareer@stankin.ru or via the Telegram group. In the message, send a screenshot or video from the screen that shows the problem.
By what criteria is the portfolio evaluated?
The maximum possible score for each category of achievements is published in the participant's personal account when filling out the portfolio.
Can I edit/add to my portfolio after it has been submitted for review?
No. This can be done before you have submitted your portfolio for review and before the deadline for the first stage has ended. Once submitted for review, it is not possible to edit or supplement the portfolio.
What to do if I have a question or problem?
If you did not find the answer to your question on this page, as well as in other sections of the Olympiad website, write us a message by e-mail mycareer@stankin.ru or through the Telegram group. Attach a screenshot or video of the screen that shows the problem to the message.
IMPORTANT: the standard processing time for your question is one day.
If I have a mistake in my personal data, how can I correct it?
After completing the portfolio and submitting it for review, you will not be able to correct anything in your personal data. If you need to edit something, please contact us by email mycareer@stankin.ru or through the Telegram group. We will investigate and clarify whether it is allowed to change what you want to change.
I do not agree with the assessment /decision of the jury. Can I appeal?
Only after the second stage. The results of the Olympics are final. Requirements for an appeal after the second stage can be found in the Olympiad Rules published on our website. The appeal is filed fr om the participant's personal account, wh ere its results are then published. IMPORTANT: The appeal period includes not only the filing but also the processing of appeals. The period for filing and considering appeals is indicated in the schedule of the Olympiad on the website.
